Our story

Meet the owner

Jerrell grew up in Paxville, South Carolina, graduated from Norfolk State University, and spent eleven years with the Walt Disney World Company. He has called the Orlando area home for more than 26 years.

In 2015 he put Triple A Sauce on Amazon. The response was strong enough that he took it to specialty stores and farmers markets around Orlando, and Edith's Best has been growing ever since.

The name on the bottle

Who is Edith?

Edith was Jerrell Watson's grandmother, and a big part of the man he became. Long before there was a label, Jerrell was making this sauce in his own kitchen for family and friends.

The name is a little bit of a family joke. "Every grandchild believes they're the favorite grandchild," Jerrell says. "I believe I was her best. Hence, Edith's Best."

Her name is on every bottle for a reason. Jerrell built the company to honor the woman who helped shape him, and to make quality products that bring people together and make everyday meals feel like a little luxury.

What started as a family favorite is now in specialty food stores, restaurants, and online. Every bottle still carries her name.

My why

"My family and inner peace come first," Jerrell says. "My mission for this company is to provide for my family and to leave a legacy for my daughters."

Beyond that, he wants Edith's Best to be a platform for blessing others, a push for people chasing their own visions, and a business that glorifies God.
